It's not you. It's the method.
If you've tried apps, textbooks, even a class or two and still freeze at the counter, that's not a discipline problem. It's that nobody taught you the spoken language. They taught you the written one and hoped you'd figure out the rest.
i. What hasn't worked
- Memorising vocabulary lists you never get to use out loud
- Conjugation tables that vanish the moment a waiter speaks to you
- App streaks that build points but not conversations
- Phrasebooks written for tourists, not for people
ii. What this course does instead
- 20+ dialogues set in the exact scenes you'll find yourself in
- Grammar arrives in context, only when you need it to speak
- Pronunciation work, because reading isn't the same as being understood
- Cultural codes I had to learn the hard way after arriving in Paris
You don't need to be perfect.
Bonjour, I'm Aurélie.
I'm a French native born and raised in Moorea, a small island in the Pacific Ocean. I've always loved learning and speaking different languages as they make me feel like I can have multiple personalities.
After having learnt English, Spanish, Italian and Russian and experienced one culture shock after another, I realized learning about the culture and the mindset is just as important when one learns a language.
The method I developed focuses on getting you speaking, quickly and like a native. It includes all of the cultural nuances that I wish I had when I first arrived in Paris. After years of learning languages and teaching mine to English speakers mostly, I have designed a dialogue-based course that will allow you to have everyday life conversations with French natives, without the slog of a textbook.
By the end of the course, your trip changes.
Not vague "confidence." Specific, situational fluency for the moments you'll actually live through on a trip to France.
Handle everyday conversations without the panic
Order at a café, ask the boulanger what's in the pastry, check into your hotel, and follow what they say back, including the follow-up question that always trips beginners up.
"Pour ici ou à emporter ?"
Pronounce French so people actually understand you
The single biggest reason French speakers switch to English on you. We work on the sounds your mouth isn't used to, and the rhythm that makes you sound less like a tourist.
"Pardon, vous pourriez répéter ?"
Hold your own in a group, not just a transaction
Join a conversation at a dinner table. Make small talk with your Airbnb host. Understand the cultural codes, when to use tu, when to use vous, when not to ask how much.
"On se tutoie ?"
This is a spoken French course. We start with the fundamentals, but we don't stay there. Within the first week, you're already inside a real-life situation, learning the language the way a child does: through context, repetition, and stories.
Each module pairs a dialogue with a focused grammar point, pronunciation drill, and a speaking exercise. By the end of module three, you'll be able to do something you couldn't before. By module ten, the difference is hard to believe.
Join the courseEverything you need. Nothing you won't use.
20+ contextual dialogues
Real situations, real rhythm. Each one built to be replayed, shadowed, and absorbed until the words come out without thinking.
Line-by-line breakdowns
I take every dialogue apart with you, vocabulary, structure, why the French phrase it that way. The "why" matters more than the "what."
Pronunciation training
The sounds, the rhythm, the silent letters. The work most courses skip, and the reason beginners get answered in English.
Lifetime access to the course
Yours forever. Watch before your trip, revisit after, come back in five years. The course updates are included too.
Private community
A space to practise with other students, ask questions, and stay accountable. Quiet, kind, no judgment, the way a classroom should feel.
Watch anywhere
Phone, tablet, laptop. On the plane, on the métro, on the sofa. Your pace, your hours, your way.
Real students. Real trips.
